New Spotlight Theatre Opens with Completely Integrated Digital Media Environment from Allure Global

ATLANTA (January 22, 2009)

Allure Global Solutions, Inc. today announced the installation of a totally integrated digital signage environment for Spotlight Theatres’ newest location at Lake Oconee, Ga. Spotlight is using Allure Global’s digital media solutions for the box office, concession area, fountain displays, auditorium signage and promotional movie posters. All of Spotlight’s digital signage is controlled by information from its point-of-sale (POS) system for convenience and cost savings.

Georgia-based Spotlight Theatres selected Allure Global’s digital media solutions based on their quality, high-end look and feel, agile content delivery and ability to integrate with Spotlight’s existing POS system. The objective was to create a totally integrated messaging environment, all controlled by information from the Spotlight Theatres’ POS system.

Allure Global implemented a total of 24 LCD screens at the new Spotlight Theatre:

  • Seven 42” LCD screens for the DigiBox™ digital box office signage
  • Seven 42” LCD screens for the Digital Menu Boards in the concession area
  • Six 42” LCDs for the Digital Movie Posters
  • Four custom-sized and mounted LCD screens for the Digital Fountain Displays
Allure Global developed all the content to be used on the displays. The DigiBox solution is completely integrated with Spotlight’s existing POS system so that Spotlight can easily update its box office schedule and listings. Allure Global’s POS integration capabilities enable theatres like Spotlight to streamline operations.

“Having a high-end digital media environment was important to us as we opened our newest location,” said Joe Paletta, Owner of Spotlight Theatres. “Allure Global had the product portfolio we were looking for, and the ability to integrate all of our digital signage with our point-of-sale system. This helps us save time and costs in running our box office and concessions in addition to providing the attractive look and feel we wanted for the theatre. We couldn’t be happier with the results.”

“The theatre industry has been an early adopter of digital signage and is now at the forefront of interfacing digital signage with existing point-of-sale (POS) systems for increased efficiency and cost savings,” said Craig Chapin, CEO of Allure Global. “Innovative movie theatre owners like Spotlight are utilizing digital signage at the box office, to drive concession sales, to enhance fountain displays, promote movies, and augment auditorium signage. It’s a powerful way to use technology to improve revenues and operations simultaneously.”
